SUNDAY POST: Road

This roadside convenience store was the perfect stop for us to pick up some bottled water. It was on the road to the Chochoban pyramids in Costa Maya, Mexico. The name of the store was “Abarrotes Teresita”. The word abarrote in Spanish means grocery but can also be used for packed; crammed; stocked or lower prices. Teresita is Theresa in Spanish. This store was really stocked full of anything you needed.

I love shops like this, there’s nothing you can’t find! I like stopping in such places to support them with a little purchase. I’d like to see more of Chochoban too!

    • The local shops have so much of the flavor of the lace you are traveling to.
I stayed in a small town in Puerto Rico that only had a corner store. It had
everything. I could not beileve how much was crammed int eh store and, yet,
everything was neat and he could find it. hehehe ….!!!!
I may have posted something on Chochoban. I will have to go back and check.
The pyramids are just starting to be excavated there. The funds are low, though.
Thanks for your visits< gilly. They're always appreciated.
