“My Nightmare”
I could barely sleep a wink all night.
The idea that I could go shoe shopping and not have to make excuses about it was thrilling. I jumped in the shower and dressed quickly. There wasn’t a moment to spare. I had found the perfect dress the day before and I knew exactly where those perfect shoes were to go with it.
As quickly as my stylish wedged shoes cold carry me I went straight to where they would be. Shock and dismay stopped me immediately. It can’t be. Everything was rearranged.
It can’t be that time already. My shopping nightmare was before me.
Christmas

Hahaha I hope it’s just in the nick of time!
I can’t imagine her walking into the party with the wrong shoes. Could you?
I’m sure she is going to scour the store until she finds them. hahaha
I’m not a shoes fan but I have a friend who is. I had her in mind when I wrote it.
lol xmas shopping is a nightmare isnt it!! love the use of the prompt
I don’t give gifts anymore. Instead, I have a great big party and serve everything people love to eat and drink. Of course, being a former dancer, music and dancing are on the menu, too.
~~~~~~ : – )
Any shopping is usually a nightmare for me, but Christmas shopping is the worst!
I saw those shoes and I thought the nightmare was going to be walking in them!
hahaha … I used to wear shoes like that when I had knees. Now, I wear ballet flats and sandals. Oh, the good ole days. hahaha
Nice idea, guiltless shoe shopping.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I appreciate it.
Yes – shoe shopping can be fun if you like it. I’m not a big fan but have a friend who adores it. I based this on her love of it.
Shopping around Christmas time can definitely be a nightmare. Except for soaking up the atmosphere a few times to court a little more of that festive spirit, I’ll be avoiding it.
I enjoy the hustle and bustle of everyone scurrying around. I purchase throughout the
year to avoid the buying frenzy. It helps ….
lol it is a nightmare. x
It makes you wonder if she finds them …. haha
Love it! Seasonal re-arrangement in ALL shops, not just clothing and fashion stores, is a constant nightmare, even for the staff, never mind the customers!
I think the staff must get frazzled each time there is a change for
the seasons. I think the store do this to keep you searching everwhere
in the hopes of an impulsive purchase. Glad you enjoyed it … thanks
What an absolute nightmare!
I’m trying to figure out which way to go …
Does she find them or does she go with
something else? hahaha
Ha, well done, and yes, it seems like Christmas in commerce tumbles in earlier each year, throwing our old shopping habits off kilter. Re-arranging everything. I hope she found the shoes.
I’ll have to figure that out if I decide to continue this story. This direction for the story came to mind when I went to buy sheets and the department was no longer there – Christmas was. hahaha
Ha! Early bird snags the “Choos.” *grin*
Looking for the zapatos (choos) wwas like a treaure hunt. hahaha
Glad you enoyed this little tale. ~~~~~~ : – )
Ha! One of these years, I expect to see the Christmas merchandise show up in early March.
Not surprising … they should just leave it up all year. hahaha
Last year, a friend visiting at Christmas suggested I keep my tree
up all year. He hah asked me how many ornaments I had on the tree. When
I said over 200 he said, “Keep the tree up it’s gorgeous and less work”.
Of course, I’ve been collecting ornaments for 47 years. I didn’t leave it up.
It can get tiring to look at even if it is pretty. ~~~~~~ : – )
Love those shoe…
I used to wear heels that high once in my life. Boo – Hoo – those were the days.
You and me both honey… Evey now and again, I pull a pair out and strut around for five minutes in my bedroom and then wistfully take them off… How did we do it? I only remember the pain.
Nice
Have a friend like that too!
